TNA Reaps Benefits Of WWE Partnership

TNA Wrestling and WWE’s renewed partnership has been making waves since its revival in May when Jordynne Grace appeared on WWE NXT. Since then, a significant exchange of talent between the two promotions has taken place, with stars like Tatum Paxley, The Rascalz, Alexander Hammerstone, Joe Hendry, and No Catch Quarter Crew making appearances on each other’s shows. This collaboration has brought major benefits, especially for TNA.

The positive effects of the TNA-WWE partnership are now becoming clear, especially when it comes to TNA’s pay-per-view and live event numbers.

During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Dave Meltzer discussed how TNA’s relationship with WWE has significantly boosted their pay-per-view viewership and live attendance. According to Meltzer, TNA’s latest pay-per-view saw a dramatic increase in viewers, while recent live events have sold out at 2,000 seats—compared to the 500-800 they used to draw.

“The WWE stuff with TNA has definitely helped them on pay-per-view. Their PPV number was way up on the last PPV. Their live attendance at the last couple of shows—they used to get 500-800 on these PPVs, now they’re selling out at 2,000,” Meltzer explained.

Fans have already seen crossovers at major events, including Slammiversary in July, where NXT stars made appearances. The collaboration between WWE and TNA has been planned well in advance, and fans are eager to see what other surprises are on the horizon as both companies continue to benefit from the partnership.
