NXT Commentator Booker T On NXT/TNA Partnership
After the rebirth of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in early 2024, WWE and TNA Wrestling have engaged in a partnership that sees talent from TNA cross over to NXT, and vice versa. Popular names such as Joe Hendry, Frankie Kazarian and former NXT talent Zachary Wentz have made their way onto NXT to great fanfare.
Booker T has seen the best and the worst of the WWE locker room, as well as the TNA locker room. Having been in both as an in-ring competitor and most recently as a commentator for NXT. Booker has presented his own take on the partnership in an interview with Canadian podcaster Chris Van Vilet:
Now I can see, just because TNA is not a threat. I think being able to cross promote and work with a company like TNA, it benefits the talent more than anything. I think it helps the company stay alive and their markets that they do have, they’re gonna hold, they’re not gonna go anywhere now just because they see the collaboration. So I think it’s a good thing for everybody, just because everybody is not gonna be able to work in WWE at one time and be able to get shine. It’s just not gonna happen.

Other talent that have been used in the partnership so far are NXT’s Izzi Dame, who challenged TNA stalwart Jordynne Grace for the TNA Knockouts Championship. Before her was Tatum Paxley, who also challenged Grace. Jordynne Grace herself also appeared in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match with the Knockouts belt. She was eliminated by Bianca Belair.
