ALL ELITE WEEKLY (17/7/24-21/7/24)

Welcome back to All Elite Weekly the series were we recap all the action that took place across AEW programming, this week was jam packed due to the 250th episode of Dynamite and the build towards the Blood & Guts special and ROH Death Before Dishonor next week.

DYNAMITE 250

Dynamite 250 opened with the International title match against Will Ospreay (c) and MJF
The match made use of its 60 minute time limit and went on for 59 minutes and 58 seconds
The match finished when Ospreay once again hesitated before using the Tiger Driver 91, MJF took advantage of this and hit Ospreay with his diamond ring and pinning Ospreay with two seconds to spare
MJF leaves the ring in an oxygen mask as he celebrates becoming the new International champion
In a backstage segment Swerve Strickland and Mark Briscoe recruit The Acclaimed for the Blood & Guts match against the Elite
In the TV Time segment with Jericho, he brags about his victory against Samoa Joe and claims that anyone who doesn’t listen to him is crazy, he is then interrupted by NJPW legend Minoru Suzuki
Suzuki then hands Jericho a piece of paper the proclaims that Suzuki will get a match at Blood & Guts for the FTW Championship and that Big Bill and Bryan Keith are banned from ringside
After defending her title against Nyla Rose Mercedes Mone is attacked by a fan in a Sting mask who is revealed to be Britt Baker the two are then separated by security
Mariah May then enters the ring dressed as Timeless Toni Storm, the fans at first believe that it is Storm in the ring but slowly realise it is actually Mariah May, she then claims that this was her plan all along and waited so long to strike because of how much fun she had stringing her along
The main event of Dynamite 250 is a Champion vs Champion match between Okada and Swerve Strickland, Swerve gets the upper hand and looks like his about to end the match, but he is then attacked by the Elite ending the match by DQ
The Elite and Team AEW all storm the ring, and they start brawling eventually Team AEW gets outnumbered but then Darby Allin’s music hits and he is then lifted down from the rafters evening the odds and forcing the Elite to retreat

RAMPAGE

Rampage opens with a trio match with The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reily and Ishii) VS The Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven, Mike Bennet and Roderick Strong) where Orange Cassidy pins Taven to get the win
After the match Don Callis enters the ring to get Cassidy’s attention then once distracted Cassidy is attacked by Kyle Fletcher, Conglomeration member Mark Briscoe then comes out to save Cassidy, but Briscoe gets attacked by Strong who will be Briscoes challenger at Death Before Dishonor
Ishii VS Roderick Strong is made official for Collision

COLLISION

In the opening bout of Collision Darby Allin beats The Beast Mortos and then announces himself as an official member of Team AEW at Blood & Guts, Allin also challenges Jack Perry for a match at All In for the TNT Title
Shida is announced as the winner against Skye Blue after an apparent shoot injury
FTR come to the ring and get interviewed by Tony Schiavone, Cash Wheeler praise Billington as a good kid and claim they don’t want Callis getting to him
Wheeler then discusses what he was going through when he was facing a criminal trial
They the say that their sights are set on the Young Bucks making it look like that the team will be in the tag titles picture again soon
Strong beats Ishii after a distraction from Taven and Bennet they attack Ishii after wards and the other members of The Conglomeration save Ishii
Hologram debuts in match against Gringo Loco, Hologram easily gets the victory with his finisher the Portal Bomb
In the main event The Patriarchy have a match against the Bang Bang Gang for the vacant Trios Titles
The Patriarchy get the win after Shayna Wayne sprayed hairspray in Juice Robinson’s face allowing Cage to hit the Kill Switch
