‘Queen of Harts’ re-signs with WWE and teases outside projects

Former WWE SmackDown Champion and women’s wrestling veteran Natalya has become the company’s latest re-signee, following many other top talents signing a new deal.
The “Queen of Harts” reportedly resigned with WWE in late June before her previous contract expired, but reports claim contract-related discussions first began in May.
The news comes after reports that suggested the 42-year-old was looking to “keep her options open” for her career moving forward in the sport, with major media outlets claiming WWE was at a threat of losing her this year.
The new contract reportedly sees Natalya sticking with the company for multiple years into the future, also allowing her to work on a various number of outside projects.
The news comes after Natalya commented on a potential Hart Family Biopic earlier this year following the success of ‘The Iron Claw’ bringing the Von Erich family story to the big screen.
She told Gorilla Position that the Hart family is “so big there’s so much meat on the bone”.
“Even just the story about me as a woman growing up in this crazy world and seeing it through my eyes, you could tell a whole story on the Hart Foundation, you could tell one on the whole family, you could tell a whole story on the life and times of Stu Hart,” she said.
Natalya was also spotted in January with staff from Yale Productions, claiming she was working on something near and dear to her heart.
Jordan Levine and Jordan Beckerman of Yale Productions have also reportedly had interest in a Hart family biopic, with reports some casting ideas have already been pitched to the company.
Being the only female graduate from the original Hart family Dungeon, Natalya’s involvement with both the future of WWE and a possible new biopic will one to watch.
The star is also WWE’s current longest-serving women’s wrestler, having signed with the company back in 2007.
Natayla is set to carry on the legacy of the legendary Hart family well into the future of WWE, which is an inspiration to see as a third-generation superstar.
From her impact on Total Divas to her brushes with multiple championship belts over several years in the ring, we can’t wait to see where she’ll end up.
A massive highlight of her career was her breakthrough at SummerSlam 2017, which saw her defeating Naomi for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, earning gold for the first time since holding the Divas title in 2010.
She continued to make waves in 2019, defeating Lacey Evans at WWE Crown Jewel in the historic first-ever women’s match in Saudi Arabia.
As WWE stated, the tremendous ability to live up to the legendary legacy of the pink and black is doing just fine in her hands.
