Aussies Robbie Eagles & Shane Haste Appear On AEW Collision

Australians Robbie Eagles and Shane Haste opened the June 29th episode of AEW Collision.
The Duo teamed against Orange Cassidy and Tomohiro Ishii as Cassidy was competing against Eagles’ and Haste’s fellow stable member Zack Sabre Jr. It was Eagles debut in AEW and Haste’s second appearance with his first being on the Wrestle Dream preshow last year.

Eagles, the former MCW and PWA champion has more recently been wrestling in NJPW where he debuted in 2018. When he started out Eagles was a member of the Chaos stable but now, he has joined the Australian founded stable TMDK.

Haste has not been wrestling as consistently in the Australian indies since his initial stint in the WWE but since leaving he has gone back to Japan and reformed the stable he started when he had his first run in Japan.

TMDK originally consisted of only Australian wrestlers when it started in Pro Wrestling Noah but now that the faction has moved to NJPW it’s become more international but still contains three Aussies which are Eagles and two of the founding members Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls.

Unfortunately, the two Aussies lost with eagles being pinned by Cassidy as he was about to have a PPV match with their faction leader.

But it is still good to see Australian wrestlers be highlighted on a program such as Collision and hopefully it leads to more appearances and in turn potentially shining a light on the Australian scene.
