Darby Allin Suffers Foot Injury On AEW Dynamite
AEW Dynamite this past week on March 13th saw a feature bout between Darby Allin and former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, New Zealand’s “Switchblade” Jay White. This match was set to be Allin’s final appearance for the time being as he took on the task of climbing Mount Everest. However, recent reports have indicated that Allin will be neither wrestling nor climbing mountains for the foreseeable future after suffering a broken foot in the match against White.
Photos released by TMZ show three broken bones on Allin’s left foot. It is believed that the injury was caused by a somersault dive to the outside by Allin two minutes into the match, before both men would compete for a further ten minutes until White came out victorious.
It is unknown at this time what the timeline is for the injury to heal, most fractures take up to six weeks, ten to twelve weeks would be on the longer side. Nonetheless, Darby Allin will not be wrestling in the near future and his mountain climbing ambitions would likely be impossible until this time next year.
