Nick Aldis Makes WWE Debut As General Manager Of Smackdown
Former NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis made his WWE debut on the October 13th episode of Smackdown this past week, emerging as the new General Manager of the Smackdown brand.
In a segment with Dominik Mysterio in the ring with Head of Creative Triple H and RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. Amongst a chorus of boos, Mysterio demanded justice for the Judgement Day, who he says were screwed of the WWE Tag Team Championships. Triple H then introduces Nick Aldis as the new General Manager of Smackdown and the man who Mysterio should be speaking to.
As mentioned, Aldis is a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, holding the prestigious belt on two occasions. His second reign as champion lasted for 1043 days, from October 2018 to August 2021, defeating Cody Rhodes to win the belt and defending against the likes of Brian Cage, James Storm and Trevor Murdoch.
