Pro Wrestling World Remembers Terry Funk
Wrestling history is a fascinating topic. The success and failures of one’s career was mostly determined by their toughness, and Terry Funk was as tough as they come. With a career spanning over 50 years, holding over 30 different sets of championship gold, stepping between the ropes on several continents and mutiple retirements and comebacks. Funk lived his best life in a wrestling ring.
The world was saddened to learn on the 24th of August that The Hardcore Legend had passed away at the grand age of 79, on August 23rd, after several years of deteriorating health. Funk competed in his final match in 2017 at the age of 73, a six man tag team match alongside the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express against the team of Brian Christopher, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Doug Gilbert.
We join all friends and fans of Terry Funk in offering our condolences and express our gratitude for his immense dedication and contribution to the professional wrestling industry. A true legend, whose legacy will live on. Forever.
