New Championship Belt Unveiled On RAW, Champion To Be Crowned In Saudi Arabia
Leading up to the April 24th episode of Monday Night RAW, it was stated that Triple H would be delivering a major announcement that would “change the game”.
That announcement turned out to be the unveiling of a new design of a previously retired championship beloved by fans, the World Heavyweight Championship.
Triple H noted during the introduction of the belt that both brands need a fighting champion, with Roman Reigns working more sporadically since defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38.
The brand that the belt is set to feature on will be determined at the conclusion of the 2023 WWE Draft, as we see which brand current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be drafted to. It is unclear who will challenge for the belt, but we know that the inaugural champion will be crowned in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at Night Of Champions on May 27th.
