Coming hot off the AEW Revolution PPV we are going to be provided a tournament to determine the number one contender to Kenny Omega’s International Championship as well as finding out who will step up to the plate and challenge the Timeless one.

DYNAMITE RESULTS

Joe starting this one off with some strong jabs and a running back elbow to Thesus (I think). Hook gets the tag and a big hip toss.

Wrist clutch Northern Lights by Hook. Pacifico charges and misses.

Shibata is in with a running boot in the corner and hard chops in the corner. Big dropkick to the face and a half-and-half front suplex. Two count. Sleeper. PK

BRIAN CAGE / DRALISTICO VS HOLOGRAM / POWERHOUSE HOBBS

Hobbs attacks Cage on the floor and here we go. Hologram and Dralistico trade chops inside the ring. Arm drag, chops, head lock take overs, and pin falls back and forth here and we reset. Cage gets the tag and Holograms dumps Dralistico to the outside.

Military press by Cage but Holograms hurricanranas him to the floor. Suicide dive by Hologram but Cage catches him in a vertical suplex and drops him! Cage now curls Hologram and tosses him back in the ring. Commercial. Back from break and Mortos is putting the boots to Hologram behind the referee’s back, but HarleyGram stops it.

Crucifix Bomb by Dralistico back in the ring and Hologram is back with a Spanish Fly. Everyone is down. Hobbs is in and tosses Dralistico like a sack of laundry. Hobbs wants Cage… and he gets him. MEAT. MEAT. MEAT. Superkick by Cage. Boby block by Hobbs. Powerslam! Two count. Dralistico wants in and elbows Hobbs out of nowhere.

Hobbs doesn’t flinch, but a thrust kick and German suplex combo drops him. Dropkick and a step-up rana to Dralistico. Powerbomb to Hologram and a buckle bomb by Cage on to Hobbs. Deadlift German suplex to Hobbs! MEATTTTTTTT.

Dralistico springboards in misses whatever he was supposed to do, awkward spot, so Hobbs gets mad and running powerslams Dralistico. Discus lariat by Cage to Hobbs. Cage brings Hobbs to the apron, but Hologram is here with an enziguiri and Hobbs spinebusters Cage on the apron. Hologram moonsaults off Hobbs to Cage on the floor. Another awkward spot in the corner between Hobbs and Dralistico and you can audibly hear Dralistico yelling at him. Hobbs sends him to the apron and he springboards in, right into a spinebuster!

AEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ELIMINATOR TOURNAMENT – THE BEAST MORTOS VS SPEEDBALL MIKE BAILEY

Speedball bows to Mortos and here we go. Rapid fire kicks by Speedball and a high kick. Speedball moonsaults from the apron and Mortos runs him over with a shoulder block.

Mortos misses a charge in the corner, topping over and to the outside. Speedball with a running plancha to the floor. Speedball connects with a spinning back kick and a high kick. Running Shooting Star Press gets a two count. Tornado kick by Speedball but Mortos rolls to the outside.

Running boot to Mortos on the apron and an inside-out moonsault over the corner. Mortos goes up top but gets caught with an enziguiri. Liger Bomb off the top by Speedball, but he misses the Ultimate Weapon. Huge pop-up Samoan drop by Mortos! Two count.

Mortos up top now but Speedball catches him with a forearm. Both guys up top now and Mortos tosses Speeball with an avalanche gorilla press! Headbutt by Mortos into a tilt a whirl backbreaker. Discus lariat! Both guys trade roll ups. PK by Speedball! Moonsault knee drop by Speedball! Tornado kick by Speedball and this one is over!

MAX CASTER VS KONOSUKE TAKESHITA

Takeshita accepts the open challenge, but Caster tries to talk his way out of it. Takeshita destroys Caster with an elbow and picks him up before the three count.. Raging Fire.

WILLOW NIGHTINGALE VS PENELOPE FORD

Body slam and a vertical suplex by Willow. Ford ducks a clothesline and drops a pair of knees on Willow on the apron.

Short-arm palm strike to the chest and a trio of clotheslines. Avalanche in the corner and a big spinebuster by Willow. Two count. Ford breaks free of the Doctor Bomb but Willow locks in the Gory Special.

Ford bites her way out! Triangle choke over the ropes by Ford, but she’s got to break as four. Diving crossbody by Ford gets two. Superkick by Willow. Pump kick by Ford. Stunner by Willow!

AEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ELIMINATOR TOURNAMENT – ORANGE CASSIDY VS HECHICERO

Hechicero prevents pocket hands and looks for a kimura. Cassidy does get the hands in the pocket and connects with a shotgun dropkick. Leg lace roll up by Cassidy gets two.

Hechicero is on the apron, taunting Cassidy. Cassidy dives off the top with a crossbody, but Hechicero blocks a satellite DDT with a spinning hammerlock backbreaker! Two count.

Stundog Millionaire and a Satellite DDT. Cassidy tries to kip up but the knee that Hechicero worked on during the commercial has come back to haunt Cassidy. Cassidy goes up top and drops a lazy elbow… right into a triangle choke!

Hechicero rolls through and traps the arm, right into a Rings of Saturn. Cassidy gets his foot on the rope. Around the world by Cassidy but he somehow traps the arms and rolls Hechicero up in the mouse trap for the win!

AEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ELIMINATOR TOURNAMENT – RICOCHET VS KATSUYORI SHIBATA

Leg kick by Shibata early and Ricochet felt that one. Chops by Ricochet but Shibata eats them and brings Ricochet to the mat with one of his own. PK by Shibata. Dragon screw by Ricochet and a springboard forearm. Shibata rolls to the outside and Ricochet follows up, driving him back-first into the apron and LED board.

Shibata rolls in the ring and Ricochet follows up with a standing moonsault as we go to commercial. Back from break and Shibata drops Ricochet with a rolling elbow but runs into a dropkick. Ricochet sits cross-cross apple sauce and Shibata sits in front of him.

Ricochet with some overhand chops but Shibata doesn’t budge. Uh oh. Shibata puts the Claw on Ricochet instead! Running boot in the corner by Shibata and a stalling dropkick in the corner, wait, no! Shibata stops on a dime and then slaps Ricochet on the back of the head. Butterfly suplex by Shibata. Duck under by Ricochet and a suplex, but ShibatA sits up and German suplexes Ricochet who rolls through.

Both guys are up to their feet. Ricochet looks for a corkscrew kick but Shibata catches him and locks in the STF! Ricochet barely gets to the ropes and backs Shibata into the corner. Detonation Kick by Ricochet and a moonsault off the middle rope. Two count. Standing Shooting Star Press by Ricochet. Two count. Shibata counters Vertigo into a rear naked choke. Ricochet rolls him up again for two.

Back to the rear naked choke now. Ushigaroshi by Shibata but Ricochet ducks the PK. Back elbow by Ricochet and he uses the ropes for leverage! One, two, three!

POWERHOUSE HOBBS VS GRIFF GARRISON

Griff tries to clothesline Hobbs and he doesn’t move. Big boot by Griff. Running clothesline by Hobbs and now Hobbs tosses Vance in the ring… shoulder block. Jacked Jameson gets dumped to the floor. Spinebuster for Griff.

AEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP ELIMINATOR TOURNAMENT – MARK DAVIS VS MARK BRISCOE

Big back body drop and a clothesline in the corner by Davis. Briscoe pulls Davis over the top to the outside and Briscoe follows with a flipping suicide dive. Briscoe posts Davis and then uses a chair to springboard off the apron with a cannonball.

Davis has Briscoe in the corner and lays in some hard chops. Briscoe responds in kind. Oh boy, chop fest here as both guys trade. Redneck Kung Fu! Briscoe tries for a fisherman’s buster but Davis blocks it and counters with a release dragon suplex! Tough landing. Running knee to the face by Davis gets two. Both guys fight to the outside and Davis tries for a powerbomb, but Briscoe counters and comes off the apron with a blockbuster!

Cactus Elbow off the barricade by Briscoe, who rolls Davis back in the ring.. Fisherman’s buster! One, two, no! Davis counters a Jay Driller with his version of the Storm Zero. Two count. Davis to the corner and Briscoe follows with a running forearm. Redneck Kung Fu! Rolling Death Valley Driver by Briscoe! Briscoe heads up top for the Froggy Bow but Lance Archer distracts the referee and Brian Cage shoves Briscoe off the top right into an enziguiri from Davis. Coreolis Force by Davis! That’s it.

Brian Cage fall away slams two guys on the ramp. Big boot into a German on some guy. Choke bomb. Finish. We literally did not even get the guys names, and this was just a pure show of domination on the part of the Murder Machines

TOP FLIGHT / HOLOGRAM VS THE INFANTRY / LEE MORIARTY

Lio Rush and Action Andretti hit the stage and they’re going to observe. Snap suplex and a senton by Top Flight. Arm drag by Dante and a blind tag brings Bravo in with a big boot.

HarleyGram is shown on the screen as The Beast Mortos approaches her. We cut to Dralistico on the Spanish Announce Desk and we get their commentary.

This is all over the place. Darius Martin comes in with a Manhattan Drop to Bravo and an enziguiri. Bottom rope assisted Flatliner gets two on Bravo. Jawbreaker by Bravo and a tag to Dean. Dean in blind and it’s an assisted uranage to Darius.

Dante takes Dean over the top with a hurricanrana. Arm drag by Hologram to Moriarty and a tope suicida. In the ring, Top Flight hit the shotgun dropkick and German suplex on Bravo for the win.

MEGAN BAYNE VS THUNDER ROSA

Hard chops by Rosa to start. Overhead belly-to-belly by Bayne and we’re off to a quick commercial. We’re back with Bayne dropping Rosa with hard elbows but Thunder tries to fight back.

Bayne thinks about a suplex but Thunder lands on her feet and… awkward spot, kicks Bayne low. Shotgun dropkick by Thunder and now another one off the top. Running dropkick to Bayne, who was laying on the bottom rope. Both women fight on the ramp now, and Thunder kicks Bayne in the head.

Bayne catches a charge from Thunder, puts her on her shoulder, and hits the F-5 on the ramp! Thunder lands awkwardly on her knees, and barely makes it back in before the ten count. However, she walks right into Fate’s Descent and Bayne gets the win.

UNDISPUTED KINGDOM VS FTR

Adam Cole and Daniel Garcia join the commentary table. Dax grounds Roddy early, with a chin lock. Both guys now chop the heck out of each other until Dax misses a charge in the corner and hits his shoulder.

Kyle gets the tag now but the referee didn’t see it, as per Cash was distracting the referee. Hart Attack behind the referee’s back! Two count.

A back suplex by Roddy. Kyle is now with roundhouse kicks to everyone and leg kicks to Dax. Ankle lock on Cash but Dax comes in with a rear naked choke on Kyle. Arm ringer on Cash and an ankle pick. Standing toe hold on Cash but he kicks Kyle off. Kyle runs into Das on the apron and delivers an elbow.

Roddy locks in the toe hold on the apron but Dax kicks him off into the ring post. Dax comes off the top with a diving headbutt to Kyle to break the toe hold. Doomsday Device attempt by FTR but Kyle gets free and he’s on the top with Cash, who fights him off. Doomsday Bulldog! One, two, no! Roddy breaks up a Shatter Machine attempt and sends Cash reeling with a spicy dropkick on the floor.

Axe and smash to Dax! Rolling elbow and a high knee combo! Two count! All four guys in the ring now, as a brawl breaks out. Kitchen sink to Dax and the high/low! Two count as Cash drives Roddy into the pin. UE want Chasing the Dragon but Dax saves Cash.

Dax sends Roddy into Kyle. Shatter Machine to Roddy! Kyle pulls Dax to the outside right at the three! Suicide dive by Cash to Kyle! Roddy barely gets the foot on the rope! Dax sets Roddy up on the top and Cash goes on the far side.

Power Plex but Roddy gets the knees up! Cradle for a two count. High/low attempt to Cash but Dax dumps Kyle to the outside and it’s the Shatter Machine to Roddy! One, two, three!

MY THOUGHTS

An interesting set of shows this week for AEW. While we got some movement in the Women’s Division with a new contender in Megan Bayne, it feels like we went a little bit backwards with the announcement of Cope vs Moxley for the AEW Championship in a street fight on the next edition of Dynamite.

If it was up to me, I would have just continued building towards Mox vs Swerve because in my eyes, that is where the money is. Speaking of the World Championship, we have seen a few names throw their hat into the ring to try and make the gold their own. We saw Jay White and Will Ospreay declare their intentions as well as Christian say that he was screwed out of his contract.

Collision this week was a strange environment. We had some great matches, but it felt like the show was confused with what it was trying to do. Also, they announced that next weekend there will be two special editions of Collision entitled Slam Dunk Saturday and Slam Dunk Sunday.
