STATEMENT: PWDU Celebrates International Women’s Day 2025, From March 7-13

PWdownunder.com will celebrate International Women’s Day (March 8th) with 7 days of women’s content starting from this Friday March 7th.
Over these 7 days PWdownunder.com aims to shine a spotlight on Women’s wrestling and women wrestlers/female athletes. Through written features by Australian wrestlers, interviews with current and past names and features from PWdownunder.com staff.
A selection of wrestlers from around Australia from different promotions and states will share uplifting and empowering stories, experiences and struggles.
Marek (PWDU Editor) said.. ” I’m super excited to have so many great female athletes writing for us over the next week (starting March 7th). Some you may know, some you will get to know, some you will not forget”.
“We wish to use our platform here at PWdownunder.com over the next 7 days to actively focus on the mission and purpose of ‘International Women’s Day 2025’, which is to ‘shine a spotlight on activity uplifting and inspiring women to pursue goals without bias or barrier’.”
“My hope is over the next 7 days we can spark a sense of betterment in Australian wrestling.”

From Queensland we have Xtina Kade writing for us, while Lachlan brings us an interview with Tessa Armstrong. Marek catches up with Queenslander Sara Jay who has been out of scene for many years now, read her thoughts on the current scene. “It’s fantastic that the world has ( finally ) taken notice of the talent that Australian women have“.
From Western Australia we have newcomer Layla Divine who catches up with some wrestlers coming up in the local WA scene, while also sharing her journey. “Perth is the most isolated city in the world and I can only hope that this article sheds some light on some of the individuals we have on our local scene here“. The Shewolf Leto drops in with an article titled ‘Strong Women Are Not Simply Born, We Are Forged. Marek catches up with Freya Fury, Freya talks about her appearance on The Voice and offers advice for young women looking to get a start in the entertainment industry.
