Brian Cage to miss WSW Tour.

Earlier today (Thursday March 27th 2025) World Series Wrestling took to social media to make a heart breaking announcement
In a video recorded from his home in the United States, Brian Cage made the announcement that due to an injury he would not be able to make his farewell tour of Australia.
Cage, a previous WSW World and WSW Tag Team Champion as well as WSW Hall of Famer has been a part of WSW for every event in the promotion’s recent history.
In an amazing run of tours, Cage has never missed a beat always giving his all in the ring as well as when meeting with the fans during intermissions at the merch desk.
Cage’s only run with the WSW World Heavyweight Championship would come in 2018 at the International Assault Best of the Best tour when he defeated Austin Aries and Johnny Impact in a triple threat match. Unfortunately, though, Cage would drop the Championship the next night to Johnny Impact .
Brian Cage and Flip Gordon captured the WSW Tag Team Championship in June of 2019 in Ferntree Gully, Victoria as a part of the International Assault Zero Fear tour and would go on to hold the titles for a record obliterating 1361 days before dropping them to WarBeard (Erick Redbeard / Matt Basso) in March of 2023 on the Unleash Hell tour.
In the video looked truly defeated in the fact that he was unable to travel to Australia let alone not be a part of the tour.
“The weekend before I left, I tore my knee. I laid in the ring, slammed my fists, not because I was in a crazy amount of pain, because right away I knew what happened, right away I knew I wasn’t going on this tour, and I was devastated.”
We here at ProWrestling Downunder wish Brian a speedy recovery and do hope that we will see him again one more time down under for World Series Wrestling.
