Robbie Eagles with a Call to Arms to fans following Grand Slam Weekend

TMDK’s ‘Limb Reaper’, Robbie Eagles, took to Instagram Live following his appearances over AEW Grand Slam weekend in Brisbane to show appreciation and to issue an important message to Australian wrestling fans.
One of Australian Wrestling’s most prominent flag bearers, Bobbie Two Belts competed at both the Pro Wrestling League x Renegades of Wrestling Supershow on the Friday night, competing in a triple threat spectacular against two uber talented Queenslanders in ‘One Shot’ Mitch Ryder and ‘The Dark Horse’ Zeke Andino, before turning his attention to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on the Saturday, competing on the Ring of Honor Global Wars card which took place just prior to AEW Grand Slam. ‘The Sniper of the Skies’ would have a title match opportunity, competing for Ring of Honor’s Pure Championship against the dangerous Lee Moriarty.
“I just want to thank all of the Australian fans that were in attendance in Brisbane this weekend. I know lots of people came from all over the country.” Robbie shared with his followers and was visibly emotional when reflecting on how special Grand Slam was. “I am so grateful and just appreciative of the fact that I was able to participate in the ROH Global Wars in an ROH Pure Championship match prior to the Grand Slam card starting fighting Lee Moriarty”. Eagles revealed he had been chasing both a match with Moriarty and to compete for the prestigious ROH Pure Championship for a number of years.
“To have that match in my own backyard of Australia, in front of probably the largest crowd I will compete for in Australia, I believe it is somewhere upwards of 11,000 people in attendance at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre – Absolute Bucket List Thing.”
Eagles had wonderful support from the home crowd and this was certainly not lost on the man: “From the moment I walked out, to the moment I left, you guys were behind me…it’s an emotional thing to recall. I cannot express how much I appreciate each and every one of you.”
Robbie went on to acknowledge the talent on the card, working behind the scenes and in attendance when pivoting to the message he wanted to put out there for Australian Fans.
“It is so important you stay behind us…what I wanted to just express is like you were all there for the big event and that’s incredible, if you want more of it…we give it to you every single week…support Australian wrestling, whether it’s here in Queensland , wherever you’re from in Australia every state has it – get behind it.”
Robbie Eagles stated he was taking a brief break in Queensland before jumping on a flight to Qatar to compete but stated he would be returning to Australia in March, competing against Jude London on March 7 at Selina’s in Coogee, defending the Soul of PWA championship, a belt he proudly displays when competing in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
“ I will continue to come back and compete in Australian rings for the rest of my career no matter where my career takes me and that’s because I am so proud to be a part of this, proud to see the growth of Australian Wrestling and I am very fortunate that unlike everyone else that makes it to the other leagues overseas, I still get to be a part of it each and every month”.
With All Elite Wrestling already promising to return in 2026, The Sniper of the Skies asked signed off by asking fans which title and champion should be in the crosshairs next time around – what do you think? Leave a comment below.
Another bald, bearded wrestling adjacent guy, fantastic…Got into Wrestling thanks to Optus Vision and Turner Classic Movies channel, which aired Nitro, then Foxtel when I finally got to enjoy WWE live each and every week. This evolved into a love of many a different iteration of the artform, but the one I’m passionate about the most is the high level on display across this country – The Australian professional wrestling scene! That’s why I’m here, that and I was far too uncoordinated to ever attempt to do it myself.
