All Elite Weekly – 3/2/25 – 9/2/25

Another week of AEW is in the record books for 2025 and what a great week of programming it was. Toni Storm continued to deliver Oscar worthy performances, Bandido and Bryan Keith delivered an absolute barn burner of a match and Ricochet, well he was doing Ricochet things. Let’s get going.

DYNAMITE RESULTS

Will Ospreay vs ???

Ospreay is out to the ring first as per usual with these Don Callis matches, although this week he doesn’t know who his opponent is. Callis makes his way out to the stage and announces that Ospreay will be facing none other than Mark Davis, which leaves Ospreay bewildered.

Davis drops Ospreay with a chop and here we go. Cartwheel and a body slam by Davis. Don Callis joins the commentary table and lets us know that Davis is getting a try out tonight, kind of, as Fletcher signed Power of Attorney for Davis when he was in the hospital. Vertical suplex by Davis and his chest looks like hamburger meat.

Davis sets Ospreay up on the top rope, but Ospreay shoves him off and connects with a Phenomenal Forearm. Back from commercial and Davis controlled through the break with a PK to the face and a Super Dragon-esque curb stomp. Handspring corkscrew kick by Ospreay sends Davis to the floor, and he follows up with a plancha.

Ospreay looks for a springboard, but Davis catches him, Ospreay gets free, hook kick and an OsCutter! Two count. Palm strikes by Ospreay but he runs into a lariat. Piledriver by Davis! One, two, no! Davis rips off the middle turnbuckle but the referee steps in the way. Running Blade by Ospreay! That’ll do it.

Winner – Will Ospreay

Hounds of Hell vs Don Callis Family

Second match of the night and the second time that Don Callis joins the commentary team.

Takeshita gets chopped by King and here we go. King drops both Takeshita and Fletcher with chops and the fight spills to the outside. King sits Fletcher and Takeshita in rolling chairs and runs through them with a cross body! Twice! Commercial time.

Back from break and King is eating some right hands but drops Takeshita with an elbow and a clothesline, but Matthews dropped from the apron with a big boot, so King has nobody to tag. Deadlift German suplex by Takeshita but King is up! Rolling elbow! Double clothesline and both guys are down. Matthews gets the tag as does Fletcher.

Hip toss into a neck breaker by Matthews and a kick combination. Both guys trade draping DDT attempts, but Matthews settles for a running somersault plancha. Meteora by Matthews! Two count. Fletcher blocks the stomp but runs into a knee. Matthews goes up top and THE RAINMAKER’S music hits!

Fletcher trips the legs out, but Matthews is back with Cheeky Nando’s. Running boot in the corner by Matthews and a cannonball off the top! King coves but Takeshita breaks up the pin with a senton off the top. King locks in a rear naked choke on the apron but Takeshita escapes and knees him in the face. Draping DDT by Fletcher! Two count. Superkick and a rolling elbow combo to King and an assisted brain buster get the win!

Winners – Don Callis Family

Queen Aminata vs Toni Storm

This week Toni continues to add to her repertoire as she adds yet another character to her arsenal in portraying The Glamour, Mariah May. I have to say that she did a damn good job in the portrayal even if the real Mariah May disagrees.

Storm fires some elbow drops in and head scissors Aminata off the top, followed by a shotgun dropkick. Jackknife cover by Aminata gets two. Overhand chop by Storm. By Aminata. By Storm. By Aminata.

Now both women decide to trade overhand rights. Aminata with a low German suplex that sends Storm to the bottom rope, and Aminata follows with a running sliding shin shot to the face. Two count. Storm counters with a DDT and It’s Gonna Be May. Running hip attack in the corner and MayDay finishes this one.

Winner – Toni Storm

Swerve Strickland vs Ricochet

Swerve hits the stage, and Ricochet blasts him from behind with a chair. A second time. Running knee to the face by Ricochet. Vertigo. One, two, no! Pump kick to the face by Ricochet and a backbreaker. European uppercut and another backbreaker, as Ricochet is taking his time here. Leap frog by Swerve but Ricochet catches him in mid-air with a dropkick to the stomach.

Ricochet throws Swerve into the guard rail and follows up with a suicide dive. Both guys are on the LED board now as Ricochet looks for a back body drop, or a hurricanrana, and Swerve powerbombs him on the LED board! Catapult underneath the turnbuckle by Swerve as we head to commercial.

Swerve goes up top but Ricochet superkicks his legs out. Running Code Breaker by Ricochet as Swerve hangs from the middle rope. Low dropkick by Ricochet, who’s continuing to take his time. Backflip by Ricochet and an enziguiri.

Swerve counters a Death Valley Driver with a powerslam for two. Ricochet tries to go low on Swerve but Swerve counters with a release German suplex. Rolling Thunder Flatliner by Ricochet and the Housecall connects! Swerve Stomp! One, two, no! Neck breaker over the top by Ricochet and a German suplex on the apron!

Springboard 450 by Ricochet gets two. Shooting Star Press to the back by Ricochet! Two count. Ricochet thinks Spirit Gun but Swerve counters with a Housecall. Ricochet gets the knees up as Swerve goes for the Swerve Stomp and Ricochet finishes with the Spirit Gun.

Winner – Ricochet

MY THOUGHTS

AEW tried some new things on this week’s episode of Dynamite, and I felt they landed them. I really liked the out of the arena segment starting off the show. Obviously, Toni Storm is by far one of the best characters in the company and continues to deliver week to week. I feel that AEW aimed to step it up a notch and try to bring us some more stuff for Grand Slam Australia as well with the announcement of the Brisbane Brawl tag team match.

COLLISION RESULTS

Six-Man Triple Threat Match: Undisputed Kingdom vs. Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, & Angelo Parker vs. Shane Taylor Promotions

Opening match of the night is a trios match with all three teams looking toward the current Trios Champions, The Death Riders.

Quick tags as Bravo flies in with an elbow, and now Dean. Lariat by Dean. Menard in with a drop toe hold and a diving elbow by Parker. Menard hops on commentary as Cole hits a pump kick on Bravo and now Garcia tags himself in and mounts everyone in the corner.

Have I mentioned this crowd is amazing? They’re amazing. Taylor in and he headbutts Garcia, allowing Dean to hit a cutter off the apron to the outside, a knee to the back of the head by Bravo, and a leg drop on the apron by Taylor! The Death Riders attack Adam Cole and now… everyone else at the ringside. Claudio takes the mic to remind everyone who the real trios champions are (remember those titles?). Cole says they picked a fight with the wrong trios, and Roddy and Kyle make the save. Cole wants the trios championship next week on Dynamite, and we’ve got a match set up for Dynamite.

Briscoe things about a top rope Jay Driller, but Fletcher gets free and connects with a pair of running kicks to the face. Turnbuckle brain buster! One, two, three!

MY THOUGHTS

Collision was simply amazing this week. The show felt so well put together and the combination of segments and matches were almost perfect. Ok we may not have had the “big stars” on the show, but it didn’t make this episode feel less important. We saw further development across all stories and even got a few new matches added to the Grand Slam Australia card.
