MCW Packs The Pavilion With 1200+ For Endgame
For the first time ever, Melbourne City Wrestling graced the Melbourne Pavillion on Sunday the 8th of December. This loaded super card drew approximately 1,200 strong for an afternoon featuring some of the best talent in Australian wrestling. Here’s a brief overview of what went down- spoilers ahead, obviously:
The Intercommonwealth Championship No. 1 Contender’s Battle Royal was won by Ryan Rapid.
Edward Dusk def. Ricky South in the Sacrament match.
Lucky O’Leary def. Jarvis, and in doing so, became the newest member of ICON$.
In the triple threat match for the MCW Intercommonwealth Championship, “The Gift” Robbie Thorpe retained his title against two game challengers in Mitch Waterman and Tommy Knight.
Nick Armstrong issued a challenge to Buddy Matthews, with the AEW star decimating Armstrong in short order.
Caveman Ugg def. Slex to win the MCW World Championship, but Ricky South cashed in his title opportunity earned by way of winning the Ballroom Brawl back in June. The Example is your new MCW champ!
The Midnight 3 def. The Dropouts & Mikey Broderick in a trios match.
In the MCW Women’s Championship match, Eugenie was crowned the new champ after besting Erika Reid in a thrilling encounter.
And finally, The Parea def. The ICON$ in a Three Stages of Hell match to win the MCW Tag Team Championship.
The new MCW Champion had this to say following MCW Endgame:
“New MCW Heavyweight Champion, The Example Ricky South. MCW Endgame has finished and there’s been a few ups and downs, but, as you can see, the gentlemen’s agreement is alive and well. But the biggest takeaway is how the ICON$, Rocky and Brooksy, got absolutely robbed- highway robbery!- by the bloody Parea and that Buddy Matthews. One thing is for sure, the ICON$ will get all the gold again and stay on top. *sips beer* That’s good.”

A man who loves his wrestling, MMA, and has been known to dabble in karaoke. Previously wrote for Snap Mayors Media and ran The Arena Media for several years. As many wrestling fans do, I often envisioned myself becoming a pro wrestling superstar, but having Cerebral Palsy makes that dream a tough one to attain. Did do a brief referee spot for Rock N Roll Wrestling and I’d love to do more non-wrestler roles if laying the Smackdown is out of my reach, but until then, I’ll be hitting you with some refreshing writing like an F5!
