Buddy on getting signed to WWE: “I said to my Stepfather, who I was working for at the time, ‘If you have to fire me, I understand but I have to take this opportunity’, I emptied my bank account, booked flights to Tampa, Florida, paid for my try out, 90 other people attempting this try out, then 4 days of absolute hell, and when I say hell, I mean hell. At the end, they said ‘we have a contract, and Buddy, come up’ and in complete shock, I didn’t know that my name was going to be called. And at the end, everyone was excited for me. Everyone was waiting for the next name, and they said ‘that’s it.’ And everyone went from excitement and then they all just looked at me. And that was in 2012”

Buddy on Australia hosting Grand Slam and Super Showdown: “It’s massive. We were here in 2018 with WWE at the MCG, I won the Cruiserweight Championship, the best moment of my wrestling career. In February, we’re gonna do it again in Brisbane. I’ve been talking to a lot of interviewers, I told them that have that scratch. It’s itching again, I gotta get that moment. I’m excited and I’m hoping to get as big a moment as that.”
