Tuesday Morning RAW October 15th
RAW: 15/10/2024
Channel: Foxtel WWE Channel/Kayo/Binge
RAW put on a decent show this week as they adjust to the shorter show and as they build into Crown Jewel. This week we see build into both the champion vs champion as well as other potential Crown Jewel matches like Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed. We also get to see a tag title match to start the show as well as more drama around the Intercontinental Championship.
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill VS Damage CTRL
The first match of the show would be for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship as Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair defended against Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL. Damage CTRL would control most of the match with their fast-paced tactics and superior teamwork. It would come to an end as the Meta Girls would get involved as both Iyo and Bianca Belair would get distracted by their presence. With the referee and Bianca looking away Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson would attack Iyo allowing Bianca to hit the KOD as Bianca and Jade defended their titles. This was a great match to kick off the show as Damage CTRL continue to look strong and Bianca and Jade continue to bring prestige to the tag titles.
Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins
Bronson Reed would be seen in a video talking business with Adam Pearce about getting his match against Seth Rollins. Pearce would tell Bronson Reed that while Raw is supposed to be chaotic Reed is too chaotic. Reed told Pearce he was willing to do anything to win the last monster standing match and that the only reason he’s done everything he has done is to show his ambition and that he belongs in the main event. Bronson would then assure Pearce that if he got his match against Seth then there would be no more trouble. Later during the show Pearce would go to Seth and ask him about his injuries. Seth would tell Pearce that he needed to fight through his injuries to show why he is at the top of the food chain. Seth would then tell Pearce that he needed this match so that he could bring out the best version of himself. Bronson Reed vs. Seth Rollins will be a great match, and it could make or break Bronson Reed.
Gunther and Cody Promo
Cody Rhodes would come out to go face-to-face with Gunther before their champion vs champion match at Crown Jewel. Gunther would tell Cody that there wasn’t much negative to say about him and that Gunther respected him. Gunther would point out however that Cody’s biggest weakness is that he tries to be friends with everybody which leads to people betraying him such as Kevin Owens. Cody would then point out Gunther’s biggest weakness that he can’t handle it when his opponents won’t stay down, and it breaks Gunther. Gunther would then retaliate by calling Cody the secondary champion, as Cody reminded him that he was the one who had defeated Roman Reigns. The two would then shake hands and part ways as they prepare for what should be an interesting match at Crown Jewel.
Kofi Kingston VS Bron Breakker
After last week’s match when Bron Breakker attacked Jey Uso and the New Day, Kofi Kingston would get a match to face Bron Breakker. Breakker would dismantle Kofi in the match with Kofi only having one surge before Breakker took him down with a Spear. Breakker would then look to cause further damage until Xavier Woods would save Kofi. Breakker wouldn’t stop though as he’d attack Woods when Jey Uso would make the save and take out Breakker. Later in the night, Jey would run into his brother Jimmy Uso, but Jey didn’t want to hear what he had to say. A lot happened in this with the New Day breakup still having potential, Breakker wanting a title rematch and a possible Bloodline reunion all on the cards.
Other Highlights:
- The tag team tournament begins as the War Raiders return and defeat Alpha Academy
- Damian Priest is done with the Judgement Day and starts to think back to the World Heavyweight Championship
- R-Truth defeats the Miz but the final testament ensures that Miz still gets to Truth
Rhea Ripley and Tiffany Stratton VS Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan
With Rhea Ripley and Tiffany Stratton getting into a brawl with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez at the start of the show Adam Pearce would set up the main event to have them face each other in a tag match. Rhea and Tiffany wouldn’t work as a great team as early in they would fight over the tag which would lead to a Liv Morgan missile falling on the two of them. After taking some punishment Tiffany Stratton would make the tag to Rhea who would Riptide Liv Morgan and then look to do the same to Raquel until Nia Jax would interfere. This caused a disqualification as Nia would go on to attack Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan taking them both out. Nia would then tell Tiffany Stratton to cash in her Money in the Bank briefcase, but Dominic Mysterio would jump in and save Liv. This does leave the question of what will happen at Crown Jewel with the briefcase and whether this will be the time that Tiffany Stratton cashes in.
It was a good show by RAW this week with lots of storyline progression and a few decent matches. The WWE Women’s Tag Title match showed that Bianca and Jade may be becoming more vulnerable while Breakker vs Kingston was a good match and packed a lot of story into this section. Having both champions appear on the same show was great as both Cody Rhodes and Nia Jax had big moments to build interest in Crown Jewel.
