“No other country in the world can touch what we do. We run it.” WWE’s Grayson Waller Returns To PWA

Everyone talks about the forbidden door and I think PWA have opened that door.

PWA hosted the first night of their annual Colosseum event on Saturday, WWE superstar GRAYSON WALLER was signed for the event. This is something we have never seen before: a WWE superstar in an Australian wrestling ring while under contract. Over the years names like Rhea Ripley, Broson Reed and Indi Hartwell have gone to the WWE but while under contract never returned home to wrestle in a ring. With Grayson returning to his home company and the tournament he won in 2019, he isn’t returning to verse just anybody he is returning to verse someone who he took under his wing and help train “Jimmy Townsend”. The history between these two is also why Grayson has made the journey back to Australia for this match.

Waller would get the win over Townsend in the semi-main event. Waller grabbed the mic after his victory..

“I love Australian wrestling. I love it more than anything. Shoutout to WWE for letting me come and perform for you all tonight. You truly know we are in a new era when they let me come down to the metro here in Sydney to put on and perform for all of you, so shoutout—thank you, WWE. But I did this ’cause I wanted to. I love wrestling in this country. No other country in the world can touch what we do, and I keep saying it: I can’t stand UK wrestling. I can’t stand Japanese wrestling. I definitely can’t stand American wrestling. We got the best fans. We got the best wrestlers—male or female, doesn’t matter. We run it. And PWA is at the very top. So please, whatever you do, keep supporting PWA. Keep supporting Australian wrestling, ’cause we are taking over the globe, baby. Indi Hartwell, Rhea Ripley, Bronson Reed, Duke Hudson… Delta—it makes me smile.

Another reason I came here is ’cause of this flog (points at Jimmy). For the past three weeks, he has said as many mean things as he could about me. He went to my mum’s house for some reason—yeah, very disrespectful, especially when his mum is so hot and I’m so good-looking. But I love it. This is what I taught him: Never take no for an answer. Show the world who you are. If people don’t think you’re the best, prove them wrong every time. You know, it makes me so proud that I’m on the other side of the globe and you’re still doing it—you’re chasing it more than anything, you’re so passionate, and you have been since day one. And I’m very fuckin’ happy I got to be in here with you tonight. This ain’t your future, lad—this is your now. No matter where I go or what I do, I’ll take it around the world, but PWA is always my home.

PWdownunder.com will have more on PWA Colosseum in the coming days.

  1. This has to be WWEs attempt to stay relevant and current in Australia as an attempt to overshadow AEWs event in Brisbane.
