Toni Storm Scheduled To Debut For Mexican Promotion CMLL
Former AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm will be making her debut in Mexico for the country’s oldest and most prestigious promotion, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Storm’s debut for the promotion comes two months after her unsuccessful defence of the AEW Women’s Championship against Mariah May.
In a social media post, CMLL broke the news of Storm’s debut on their Arena México show “Viernes Espectacular” against opponent La Catalina:
Rough Translation: “Timeless” Toni Storm will be the opponent of La Catalina, the CMLL 2023 Universal De Amazones Champion, in a one on one match on October 11th at the Arena México as part of the Month Of The Amazonas.
This will be Storm’s second match since her defeat to Mariah May, as she teamed up with Mina Shirakawa in a tag team match to face AZM and Mayu Iwatani on a STARDOM show at Korakuen Hall on August 28th. Storm and Shirakawa were victorious.
