Tuesday Morning RAW September 10th
RAW: 10/09/2024
Channel: Foxtel WWE Channel/Kayo/Binge
With it being the Season Premiere of Raw this week the show had to match the occasion with big matches and big moments. We managed to get just that as the Women’s Tag Titles were on the line, Bron Breakker’s next challenger was decided, and American Made and the Wyatt Sicks would battle for the final time. For big moments there were three matches announced for Bad Blood along with the Big SOB and Big Bronson Reed coming together again.
American Made Vs Wyatt Sicks
The opening match of the night would be the final match between American Made and the Wyatt Sicks as the two factions faced each other in a mixed tag team street fight. The Wyatt Sicks would dominate early in this match until American Made were able to come together to take out Eric Rowan. American Made would be able to maintain some control in the remainder of this chaotic match until Chad Gable was distracted by Uncle Howdy who was sitting ringside watching the match. With Gable distracted Eric Rowan would attack Gable and carry his lifeless body back into the ring where Howdy would hit him with Sister Abigail and Dexter Lumis would splash Gable to get the win. With this feud over it will be extremely interesting to see what they do with both of these factions moving forward.
Finn Balor calls out Damian Priest
Finn would once again talk about all the reasons he betrayed Damian priest as he would finally call him out to meet face to face. Damian was ready to hurt Finn but wanted to hear him out first as Finn would challenge Damian to a match at Bad Blood. Damian would accept Finn’s challenge and the rest of the Judgement Day would come out to attack Priest. Rhea would come out still walking on a crutch to try and even the odds with some success as she would take out Dom and Liv temporarily until Liv Morgan would target Rhea’s already injured leg. The Judgement Day would continue to lay on the assault with Damian Priest trying to protect Rhea but to little success as The Judgement Day would pull him away and continue to assault them. Jey Uso would eventually be the one to make the save but it could’ve been too little too late as Damian and Rhea reportedly had to visit the local hospital after the attack. This segment continues to plant seeds of doubt on whether Rhea will be able to regain her title against Liv at Bad Blood with her list of injuries growing.
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill VS Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn
The Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill would take on Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn after Fyre and Dawn won a number 1 contenders match last week. Fyre and Dawn would give everything they had in this match in an attempt to regain their gold, but Bianca and Jade never truly looked like losing in this match. The chemistry between Jade and Bianca has come a long way as they constantly had each other’s back and managed to pull off an impressive double-team move to retain their title. Looking forward Damage CTRL looks the most likely to be the next contenders for the tag team championships after the interaction between the two teams last week and this week.
LWO VS The Judgement Day
After last week’s number 1 contenders match Dragon Lee and Dominic Mysterio would face off in the ring. The Judgement Day would try to help Dominic out as they usually do by interfering but with the LWO also ringside a brawl would break out as the LWO and most of the Judgement Day would get taken out of ringside. With the referee distracted by the commotion taking place outside the ring, Liv Morgan would take out Dragon Lee from behind allowing Dom to hit the 619 and a Frog Splash to get himself the win. Later in the show Finn Balor and Rey Mysterio would have a match but due to the earlier brawl, the rest of the LWO and The Judgement Day were banned from ringside. The ban wouldn’t matter though as Finn Balor would get himself disqualified as he would have Rey in a submission in the ropes that he wouldn’t break as Finn only wanted to hurt Rey. Finn would follow this up by Dropkicking Rey into the ring post and the side of the ring to prove that Judgement Day should still be taken seriously. These segments do help with the recent complaints about how the New Judgement Day has seemed less threatening while it also builds Finn Balor as a credible threat for a potential title shot later down the line.
Drew McIntyre thinks he’s done with CM Punk
Drew McIntyre would come out in a good mood thinking that he was finally able to end CM Punk on last week’s showing of RAW. Drew would quickly promote his upcoming movie The Killer’s Game before he would move on to his friend Wade Barrett and what happened last week. Drew would ask why Wade would stop him from doing what he believed was right and he would then threaten Barrett to never step in his way again or else. At this Adam Pearce would come out to the ring to inform Drew McIntyre that CM Punk was not done. He would then announce the highly anticipated Hell in a Cell match to take place at Bad Blood between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk where this feud will finally be settled.
Other Highlights:
- Gunther insults Bret Hart as Sami Zayn gets into a brawl with Gunther
- Natalya returns to help Lyra Valkyria and Zelina Vega beat Pure Fusion Collective
Ilja Dragunov VS Pete Dunne VS Jey Uso VS Braun Strowman
The main event of the show was the Number 1 Contenders Match for the Intercontinental Championship currently held by Bron Breakker. Strowman would be the strongest in this matchup as there were numerous times that Jey Uso, Ilja Dragunov and Pete Dunne would have to work together to try and take him down. The Big SOB would finally be taken out for good when Big Bronson Reed would return and Tsunami Braun Strowman through the commentary table leaving the other three to battle it out. Jey, Pete and Ilja would all score a near fall, but it would be Jey Uso to come out on top after he was able to super kick Ilja Dragunov off a pin and then Frog Splash the already downed Pete Dunne. Once the match was finished Bron Breakkker would come down as Jey and Bron would stare each other down with the Intercontinental Championship hanging between them.
This week’s show was a great start to what will be a big week in the WWE with some great story building and great matches. Once again the Wyatt Sicks managed to impress as well as all of the wrestlers in the number 1 contenders match. The Judgement Day continue to be the stars of the show as their story with the LWO and the Terror Twins continues to grow every week on RAW.
