WWE have presented more major television shows and Premium Live Events outside of the United States in 2024 than in any other year in recent memory. With events emanating from Australia, Canada, Scotland and France to name a few, fans in Germany were next as they were treated to their own PLE for the first time ever with Bash In Berlin. Here we will go over five of the best moments throughout the event:
5: Cody Rhodes Retains.
Opening the show with the biggest prize on the line, Cody Rhodes defeated challenger Kevin Owens to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. The story of this contest being Kevin Owens refusing to capitalise on opportunities to defeat Rhodes by any other means than fair and square, such as kicking Rhodes injured leg out from underneath him.
4: Cargill & Belair Regain.
One of WWE’s most popular women’s champions and one of their biggest free agent signings in Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill managed to show just how a good a team they are by regaining the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships from Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn of The Unholy Union.
3: Punk Is Finished With Drew McIntyre.
CM Punk and Drew McIntyre have been at odds since Punk’s surprise return at Survivor Series 2023. After months of tension, the two squared off in a strap match in Berlin, with Punk coming out on top. Afterwards, Punk would claim he is done with Drew McIntyre and alludes to his desire to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship:
It’s definitely the end of me and Drew McIntyre. What’s next for me is I’m gonna take a long hot shower, I’m gonna try to find some donuts, and I’ve got myself a main event to watch, because I’m very interested in the result, Gunther vs. Randy Orton. Some people like to say may the best man win, but in this case, may the best man win because the better man is coming for you. I want the gold. I’m coming for you sucka.

2: Rhea and Damian Get Revenge.
A rare mixed tag team match featured Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest, formerly of the Judgement Day, against Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan. This contest did not hold back as all parties got involved with one another at some point, including Rhea Ripley laying a beating on Dominik Mysterio. Both Rhea and Damian Priest layed out their opponents with a Razor’s Edge for the victory.
1: A Passing Of The Torch.
As if Gunther hasn’t already made history as one of the most dominant and formidable monsters in WWE history, champion or not, getting the stamp of approval from Randy Orton will certainly seal the deal. Gunther ended the night by forcing The Viper to pass out, retaining the World Heavyweight Championship in the process.
