Debutantes, Returns & Big Victories: Top 5 Moments From AEW All In: London
All Elite Wrestling returned to London, England this past weekend with their second annual offering of All In: London. We saw a number of new and old faces appear before fifty-thousand plus fans in Wembley Stadium, as well as hot feuds with championship stakes on the line come to a close. Here we will be looking at five of the biggest moments of the event:
5: Nigel McGuinness Returns.
AEW Commentator Nigel McGuinness made his surprise return to the ring for the first time since 2011 in the #1 Contender Gauntlet Match. As an early entrant, McGuinness held his own against the likes of Kazuchika Okada, in his first proper match in over 10 years.
4: Ricochet Debut.
As was reported by Fightful Select in the days prior to All In: London, Ricochet had penned a deal with AEW and was set to make his debut at Wembley. Lo and behold, that’s exactly what happened. During the aforementioned gauntlet match, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion entered the match to immense fanfare.
3: Daniel Garcia Return.
Making his return after some time, Daniel Garcia got involved during MJF’s defence of his AEW “American” Championship against Will Ospreay. Wearing a mask, Garcia attacked MJF from behind, leading to Ospreay capitalising on the advantage he was given to defeat MJF and win the championship. Despite his return, it is believed that Garcia has still not resigned with AEW, with his contract expiring later in the year.
2: IT’S STIIIIIING!
After a gruelling coffin match between Jack Perry and Darby Allin, The Elite attempted to drenched the coffin with gasoline and set it alight with Allin inside a body bag. However the lights in Wembley went dark and Sting would make his return to AEW to rescue his former protege.
1: Danielson Goes For Gold.
The main event of the evening was a Career vs. Championship contest between the AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland and Bryan Danielson putting his professional career at stake for a chance at the biggest prize in All Elite Wrestling. The night ended with Danielson holding the gold and celebrating amongst family, confetti and a thunderous London crowd.
