Tony Khan Confirms Australian AEW Stadium Show Rumours
The rumours about an AEW stadium show in Australia have been confirmed by Tony Khan.
In a Pre All In media call Tony Khan addressed the talks of a stadium show in Australia and that they are looking at potential locations for a 2025 show.
Khan said “We can confirm that we’re currently looking at various locations in Australia to potentially run an event sometime next year in 2025. We’ll have more information about this in the near future. 2025 is going to be a milestone year. Just as this is a milestone year, I think 2025 [there will be] even more great milestones to come.”
The initial rumour began after The Sporting News posted an article claiming they had sources that AEW were looking at stadiums on the east coast for a show, Khans comments confirm the articles claims.
If the show goes ahead this will be the second AEW run stadium show confirmed for next year it will also be the third international show for AEW next year with Forbidden Door 2025 being run in the UK and the promotion having a part in Wrestle Dynasty a NJPW run mega show taking place in Tokyo.
