International Champions Announced For MCW & OPW Collaborative Event

Oceania Pro Wrestling and Melbourne City Wrestling are set to hold a joint promotion event at the legendary Thornbury Theatre this coming September, dubbed “Worlds Collide”. After a historic run of shows in the past year, featuring stars of the past and present in various capacities. OPW will be teaming up with one of the country’s most popular promotions in Melbourne City Wrestling to bring in a selection of internationally recognised champions to compete on Australian soil, including a blockbuster Champion vs. Champion contest.

TNA X-Division Champion, Mustafa Ali

One of the many talents to make a name for themselves after their WWE release. Mustafa Ali has utilised social media and fan engagement to maximise his potential, alongside his in-ring abilities. Since signing with a rejuvenated Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, Ali has become a fan favourite, leading to his capture of the TNA X-Division Championship after defeating Chris Sabin.

AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, Flammer

A name familiar to those who have followed OPW over the past year. The AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer missed out on competing at Mickie James’ “HER” event in 2023 but is set to rectify her absence this September at “Worlds Collide”. Considered one of the premier women’s wrestling stars of the modern day, Flammer will look to execute her unique luchadora flair and ability for the enjoyment of Melbourne fans.

Champion vs. Champion, OPW Heavyweight Champion Adam Brooks vs. TNA X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali

A fantasy match up that you’d be crazy to miss. “The Loose Ledge” Adam Brooks will enter the Thornbury Theatre with the hometown crowd behind him as he defends his Oceania Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship against the TNA X-Division Champion, Mustafa Ali. Brooks, also one half of the MCW Tag Team Champions has a lot riding on this contest. Will the Victorian faithful turn on their hero for the internationally acclaimed Ali, or will they rally behind their man as Brooks and Ali tear the house down in pursuit of gold.

Oceania Pro Wrestling & Melbourne City Wrestling Present: “Worlds Collide” will emanate from the Thornbury Theatre in Melbourne, Victoria on September 22nd. Tickets are on sale from Friday, July 19th at 9am Australian Eastern Standard Time and can be found at http://OPWtix.com.
