ALL ELITE WEEKLY (11/7/24-14/7/24)
Welcome to All Elite Weekly in this weekly series we will recap the major moments from AEW programming getting you ready for this week of AEW programming in case you missed anything from last week.
DYNAMITE
- The show opened with Will Ospreay cutting a promo on MJF addressing his heel turn and calling him out as being only interested in himself unlike Ospreay who claims to be at AEW for AEW
- MJF appears on the titantron after Ospreay called him out denies Will a match this week but instead agrees to have a match with Ospreay the international title on the next episode of Dynamite which is the 250th episode special Ospreay accepts the challenge.
- The first match of the night was Bryan Danielson vs “Hangman” Adam Page in the final for the men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament
- Jeff Jarret was the enforcer for the match due his friendship with Owen Hart and because how he was brutalised by Page in the first round of the tournament
- After a hard-fought match Danielson scraped by and got the victory via rollup with the help of Jeff Jarrett who stepped in as referee after the first official got hurt by Page
- Danielson celebrates his win with Jarret and Dr Martha Hart as he accepts the trophy and the title opportunity against Swerve Strickland at All In, Swerve then interrupts to confront his new challenger
- After the ad break Swerve is In the ring alone and cuts a promo on the Elite and Danielson but mainly focusing on the Elite as he is captaining team AEW against the Elite at the Blood n Guts TV special, Swerve Challenges Okada to a match at the 250th episode of Dynamite
- The next match on the show was a Stampede Street fight between Chris Jericho and Samoa Joe continuing the feud between the two individual’s groups
- The match eventually leads to the backstage area where Big Bill and Bryan Keith gang up on Joe they then place him on a forklift which Jericho drives through a wall, AEW’s medical team decide that the match can no longer continue and Jericho wins
- The next match is a four way between Pac, Kyle Fletcher, Claudio Castagnoli and Ishii the winner of the match receives a shot at the international title at All in
- The match is won by PAC, he then promises to win the title
- Hangman agrees to join the Elites team at Blood n Guts
- Mercedes Mone then enters the ring to celebrate her victory at Forbidden Door where she won the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship, she is interrupted by Britt Baker Mone flees, it seems likely that the two will have a match at All In
- The main event is the women’s final for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament between Mariah May and Willow Nightingale
- Mariah May wins the match and then shakes hands with Nightingale, Toni Storm enter the ring to celebrate with May
- Once the duo reaches the top of the stage to collect the trophy May turns on Storm and beats her down with the title and one of her high heels leaving Storm covered in blood
- The match between the two of them for the AEW Women’s title is made official and the show ends
COLLISION
- The Show opened with a match between Konosuke Takeshita and nephew of the Dynamite Kid Tommy Billington
- Takeshita wins the match, Don Callis then enters the ring and offers Billington a spot in the Don Callis Family
- Billington declines and Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher and Callis attack him
- FTR’s music then hits returning from injury the duo then rushes down to the ring and save Billington
- The Bang Bang Gang then compete in trios’ action the group then announce that Jay White is injured and then announce Juice Robinson as the new third member of the trio’s championship
- Christopher Daniels then enters the ring and claims they do not allow substitutes for multiman belts and strip them of the belts
- The patriarch then enters and demands to be made new champions; Daniels then makes a match between the two groups official to crown new champions
- Roderick Strong beats Dalton Castle in a match winning a shot at the ROH World Championship at Death before Dishonor
- ROH world champion Mark Briscoe addresses this challenge and him being in the Blood n Guts match against the Elite in a prerecorded promo
- The Main event was a tag team match between Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly against the Undisputed Kingdom (Mike Bennet and Matt Taven)
- The match ends after O’Reilly gets distracted by Roderick Strong and Ishii brawling on the outside and Cassidy getting pulled outside the ring by Trent Barretta
- Taven then pins O’Reilly and gets the victory
- Cassidy then hits Barretta with a wrench and the Undisputed Kingdom gets attacked by Ishii to close out the show
