It’s time to crown the first King and Queen of the Ring in 3 years. The match ups could have major upside for all involved. Let’s dive in.
Pre Show:
1. WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill (c) vs Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae
This match came about after Bianca lost the Queen of the Ring SmackDown final. Candice LeRae has injured knee in the opening round of the tournament and that injury has cost the EST against Nia Jax. Candice and Indi would beg about the injury and Jade stepped in to even the odds. Jade would get Nick Aldis to make this match happen. I have the Tag Champs winning
Winner: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill
Main Show:
2. King of the Ring
Gunther vs Randy Orton
Gunther has been on a roll ever since winning the Intercontinental Championship. Randy Orton is…. well, he’s still Randy Orton. Orton always has momentum. Orton has never won King of the Ring in his WWE career. And Gunther would benefit greatly with the win. Gunther is my winner.
Winner: Gunther
3. Queen of the Ring
Lyra Valkyria vs Nia Jax
Ahh, the underdog vs monster match. Lyra has impressed everywhere she’s gone, and Nia has improved a tad. Both have a history with Becky Lynch. I have Lyra winning.
Winner: Lyra Valkyria
4. Women’s World Championship
Becky Lynch (c) vs Liv Morgan
The story behind this is Liv Morgan continuously brought up the fact that without her, Becky Lynch wouldn’t be the champion, and Becky brings up that she last eliminated Liv to become champion. Liv wants her shot at the title. I have Becky Lynch winning this.
Winner: Becky Lynch
5. Intercontinental Championship
Sami Zayn (c) vs Chad Gable vs Bronson Reed
Sami defends his Intercontinental Championship against Chad Gable and Bronson Reed. Chad Gable is bitter for Sami winning what he thought was rightfully his. Bronson Reed just wants to hurt people and win a championship. I have Sami Retaining.
Winner: Sami Zayn
6. Undisputed WWE Championship
Cody Rhodes (c) vs Logan Paul
Originally, this match was supposed to be title vs title, with the winner claiming both championships, but Logan Paul got his lawyer to write up a new contract for the match starting that only the WWE Championship was defended, which Cody agreed to. Logan Paul has been impressive in the ring, but I don’t see him winning this match. Cody will walk out as champion.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
