Xyon Quinn released from WWE

In May 2018, Daniel Vidot left NRL (Rugby League) by signing a developmental contract with WWE.
Before WWE, Daniel Vidot played both club and representative Rugby League for teams such as Canberra Raiders, St. George Illawarra, Brisbane Broncos, Salford Red Devils, and Gold Coast Titans in the NRL on the club level and represented Samoa in Rugby League.
Vidot played over 100 NRL games for the Raiders, Dragons, Broncos and Titans.

Some highlights of Daniel Vidot wrestling under the name Xyon Quinn, mostly with the NXT brand of WWE, include having matches with the likes of Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov, Solo Sikoa, Santos Escobar.
He had some big wins over the likes of Oney Lorcan, Robert Stone (Robbie E in TNA, Former X-Division Champion, 2x TNA World Tag Team Champion), Grayson Waller (Matty Wahlberg on the Australian scene), Akira Tozawa.
He fought Bron Breakker for the NXT title when Bron Breakker was NXT Champion.
He also had matches with the likes of Sheamus and Bron Breakker on the Smackdown brand.

Quinn was among the five WWE departures, all attributed to financial tightening measurements.
His last match with WWE was on Smackdown against Bron Breakker (A second-generation professional wrestler, the son of Rick Steiner and the nephew of Scott Steiner, who performed together as the Steiner Brothers).
The ex-Rugby league player, now 34, seems to be persisting with his wrestling pursuits. Through a captivating vignette posted on Instagram, he ignited anticipation for a comeback slated to happen in 90 days.

“I remember my first fight. The way it felt. The way I heard his heart beat faster, faster, his eyes so wide. I never felt so powerful, so alive. When he begged me to stop, I don’t remember that… I just snapped! That happens sometimes. And I try to control it but I guess I’m a little unpredictable, unhinged, untamed. A ghost. Boo,” – Xyon Quinn
He said during the vignette. “The comeback is always greater than the setback. 90 days,” the post’s caption read.
With Quinn’s release, there are questions looming over his next steps

Lazza, a lifelong professional wrestling fan, started attending events in 2002 and eventually took on various roles, including ring crew and commentary. He has worked with local promotions like Queensland Championship Wrestling, for which he wrote The Lazza Report on their website. Lazza also runs a Facebook group, Lazza’s Pro Wrestling Fan Group, moderates The Foreign Object, and contributes to PWDownunder.com in various capacities.
In my opinion a mistake by WWE in letting this guy go. He’ll be a star someplace else.
