What’s On This Weekend In Australian Wrestling February 9th

New South Wales

All Star Wrestling Australia will be hosting the final night of their Summer Heat Tour this Saturday on the 10th at the Brewarrina RSL Club. The card is scheduled to include the likes of Bee Boy, Cirque De La Mort and All-Star Wrestling Eastern States Champion, Tony Cruise, as well as a singles encounter between Keegan Brettle and Morgan Rose.

Wrestle Strong Dojo will be making their return to the Hawkesbury Pitt Town Sports Club February this Saturday as well, with the show commencing at 7.30pm. The card so far bolsters names like Shep Alexander and Australian Wolf with a women’s tag match featuring the Women’s Champion, Flame, and a Heavyweight title fight between Champion, Joey Foxx, and JL Gold.

Queensland

Pro Wrestling League will be returning to the Kedron Wavell Services Centre for The Purge. Their titular yearly rumble match will be headlining the show, but there will also be a three way match for the PWL Heavyweight Championship, a fight for the QLD Openweight Championship, a Feast or Famine match for the number 30 spot in the rumble and a the first defence of the newly coveted Wide Bay Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championships outside of their home promotion.

Western Australia

New Horizon Pro Wrestling has a big card coming this Saturday with Battle of Honour at the Cockburn Youth Services Club. Not only will international star Lance Anoa’i be making his Australian debut against Korvus, but the Zero1 Heavyweight Champion, Chris Vice, will be returning home for one night to face his old tag partner, Jarrad Slate. The main card will be comprised of the Legacy Cup Tournament, with four teams facing off to win one of Australia’s longest running tag team tournaments.

Victoria

Melbourne City Wrestling will be renting out the Thornbury Theatre both Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th this weekend for their Anniversary Weekend celebration. Night 1 is positively loaded. The Parea vs The Natural Classics, Nick Legstrong vs Emman Azman, Tommy Night vs Adam Brooks, Robbie Thorpe vs Rocky Menero, an open challenge from Jarvis and a massive main event between Slex and Buddy Matthews for the MCW title. Matches are still to be announced for night 2, but already it’s looking strong. Mick Moretti vs Caveman Ugg, DELTA vs Nick Legstrong vs Jarvis and a no holds barred match between Aysha and Erika Reid. It’s looking like an excellent weekend for Melbourne natives,

South Australia

The Riot City Wrestling Academy will be hosting Mean Street Mayhem #55 – House of the Rising Stars this Saturday at 18/18-28 Gray St Kilkeny. The card will see the Old Guard defend their RCW Tag titles as well as a number of debuts. Grimm will face Scorch, Cadie Tre will face Marko Mercer and there will be two qualifying matches for the Key to the City ladder match at Fringemania.

Pro Wrestling South Australia will also be hosting their Love is a Battlefield this Saturday out of the Greenwith Community Centre. The show will feature an Adelaide Open Championship match between Twisted J and Jake Viper but has mainly been sold around the eight man clash between Team Redhaw and Team Colossus, leading up to their title clash at March Madness.

Tasmania

Finally, if you find yourself stuck on a rock this Saturday, Tasmania Championship Wrestling has you covered. Their Annihilation XI show will be emanating out of the Elphin Sports Centre and features a big card, featuring a TCW Championship match, a four way match for the North Esk Championship and a loser leaves town match between Allie Galvin and The Dylan Daniels.
