Former WWE & WCW Star Ernest “The Cat” Miller To Appear At BCW 55
Former WCW and WWE star Ernest “The Cat Miller” is on his way to Melbourne to battle Australia’s own “The Taiga” Tome Filip at Battle Championship Wrestling’s 55 event on November 24th. Miller made his WCW wrestling debut on February 12, 1997, when he would face his trainer from the WCW Powerplant Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker, as well as facing Johnny Swinger on WCW Worldwide.
Miller was soon part of the Mortal Kombat inspired feud of Glacier, Wrath and Mortis in 1997, Miller came to WCW with help from Eric Bischoff of whom he was the karate instructor for his son Garrett. Miller would arrive in WWE in 2002 and would be there until 2004, he appeared in the WWE Royal Rumble in 2004.
Following his WWE release Miller would take a bit of a hiatus from wrestling before returning to Pro Wrestling in 2006 with Pro Wrestling Evolution. He worked a few other independent promotions before vanishing from wrestling again until 2022 when he joined Game Changer Wrestling to face Joey Janela. He also appeared with Impact Wrestling on January 19, 2023, to help Santino Marella who was the new Director of Authority.
Outside of the world of professional wrestling Miller also had a huge role in the Academy-Award winning movie The Wrestler starring Mickey Rourke where he played his nemesis The Ayatollah. He was also in a Japanese television series The Legend of Bruce Lee and appeared in the 2009 movie Blood and Bone.
Ernest Miller is also a three-time Karate World Champion.
