Ric Flair Debuts On AEW Dynamite, Praises Former Rival Sting
AEW once again provided another surprise debut as “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair makes an appearance on AEW Dynamite. AEW President Tony Khan announced the week prior that he would have a surprise for Sting on the next Dynamite, as a gift before Sting inevitably retires from the ring at AEW Revolution in 2024.
Flair and Sting embrace in the ring before Flair makes his speech, praising Sting for his accomplishments and ability, mentioning their classic 45-minute match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at Clash Of The Champions in 1988, which ended in a draw.
Flair also expressed his desire to Sting to “ride it out with you”, leading to speculation as to if Flair will become a regular on AEW television up until Revolution.
