Jade Cargill Signs Multi-Year Contract With WWE
Former AEW TBS Women’s Champion Jade Cargill has signed for WWE, as reported by ESPN and confirmed by WWE, and will begin training at the WWE Performance Centre today.
It’s unknown at this point whether Cargill will debut on the main roster or NXT. She has since cited names such as current Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, as well as former champions Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair as her intended opponents, during an interview with The Ringer Wrestling Show.
Elsewhere in the interview, Cargill was asked what it means to her to join WWE:
It feels great. I feel like I was just in preparation for the grand stage. I felt like this was always the mission. I felt like, you know, the shoe fit. I felt like this was going to happen. Honestly, this is all expected. So, I’m excited to be here.

Cargill was the inaugural and longest reigning TBS Women’s Champion in AEW, holding the belt for 508 days before losing to current champion Kris Statlander at AEW Double Or Nothing 2023, after defending it initially against Taya Valkyrie. Cargill began her AEW career in 2020, entering a feud against Cody Rhodes alongside former NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal.
