Cash Wheeler Arrested, Will Appear On Collision, All In Match In Doubt
Plans for the upcoming AEW World Tag Team Championship match at All In, in London, England may be in jeopardy as one half of the champions FTR has gotten himself into some hot water with the law.
It was reported on August 19th (for Australia) that Cash Wheeler had been arrested in Orange County, Florida and charged with Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon, in what is being described as a road rage incident.
The incident occurred on July 27th. A warrant for Wheeler’s arrest was then issued on July 28th. Wheeler pled not guilty through his attorney with the circuit court of Orange County, Florida on August 3rd.
During his arraignment hearing, it was reported that Wheeler allegedly pointed a gun at the victim. Wheeler posted a $2500 bond and was released from custody on Friday.
FTR are set to appear on Collision in a promo segment. This will be Wheeler’s first television appearance since the arrest.
AEW commented on the situation:
AEW has been made aware of the charge, and we are closely monitoring the situation. He (Wheeler) is fully cooperating with local authorities.
Concerning if FTR will be able to enter the United Kingdom for All In on August 27th, the general rule is those convicted of a crime punishable by at least a 12 month prison sentence will be refused entry. The penalty for this crime in the state of Florida, as a third-degree felony is maximum 5 years imprisonment and a $5000 fine, plus probation.
