Finn Bálor walks out on Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio

Finn cuts a promo about his problems with Seth Rollins, and that Damian Priest is the reason why they still exist. Rhea and Dom Dom come out to try smoothing it over, but Finn walks off. Seth Rollins taunts Rhea and Dom with Buffalo wings After Finn walks off, Dom tries talking but gets drowned with booes from the crowd. Seth Rollins comes out with a basket of Buffalo wings, which gets a big pop. Seth mentions they aren’t here to party or eat wings. Dominik answers back and challenges Seth to a match, which is made official.

Imperium vs Matt Riddle/Drew McIntyre

Next up is Imperium’s Ludwig Keiser and Giovanni Vinci vs Matt Riddle and Drew McIntyre. Last week Drew returned and had a stare down with Gunther, after Imperium beat down Riddle. The match started off with BroMac working over Vinci until Keiser was tagged in, leading to Riddle being worked over by both Imperium members. After a little while, and a number of attempts, the hot tag was made and Drew takes over. The Claymore was hit and BroMac gets the win.

Winner: Matt Riddle and Drew McIntyre

Dom talks to the Tag Team Champions before his match

Dom and Mami talk to the tag champs about how at 2 members of Judgement Day can take the tag titles whenever they wanted. Dom and Rhea had out to the ring for his match, but Seth comes out for a knock down-drag out through the crowd. Damian Priest and Finn Bálor attack Seth from behind and KOZaynia come out for the save, leading to the match being thrown out before it even starts.

Ricochet calls out Logan Paul

Ricochet makes his way to the ring and says he always tries entertaining the crowd before getting to business and calls out Logan Paul. Paul comes out and insults Buffalo, before turning his attention to Ricochet calling him incredible, but also a reckless amateur. Ricochet claims he was originally going to challenge Paul to a match, but now that he is out, he wants to hurt the YouTube star, then does a flip out of the ring in front of Paul. Logan tries to throw a couple punches, but Ricochet takes him down.

Becky Lynch faces off against Zoey Stark

Just your typical back and forth match. Both traded control a number of times. Trish Stratus is ringside, still wearing that mask for her nose. Zoey goes for a pin and holds the rope, but gets caught. Becky follows that up with a pin attempt and holds the rope, but Trish points out to the ref about the rope hold. Zoey rolls Becky up for the 1-2-3.

Winner: Zoey Stark

Maxxine Dupri graduates

Next up, we have Chad Gable and Otis in the ring. The do their catchphrase, pandering to the crowd, before introducing Maxxine. Maxxine comes out wearing a pink graduation gown and hat. Maxxine gives a speech, saying how she thought Chad was a troll, but now considers him a great teacher, mentor, and friend. Chad gives her an Alpha Academy letterman’s jacket. As Maxxine is putting the jacket on, the Viking Raiders music hits. Erik and Ivar provide a distraction for Valhalla, who attacks Maxxine from behind, stealing the jacket.

Shayna Baszler takes on Emma

A backstage segment is shown of earlier in the day of Emma coming up to Shayna saying that Shayna facing Ronda Rousey is the same as Emma facing Ronda when she returned to WWE. Shayna says it’s nothing alike and challenges Emma to a match. It wasn’t much a match. Emma gets a little offense in before Shayna dominates and wins with a Kirafuda Clutch. Rhonda’s music hits and Ronda storms to the ring ready to fight. Shayna dares Ronda to get in the ring, Ronda obliged, but Shayna dodges and leaves.

Winner: Shayna Baszler

Cody Rhodes cuts a promo

Cody comes out to the usual fanfare and gets serenaded by the fans. He gets straight to business and starts to talk about Brock Lesnar, and follows it up by riling up the crowd and mentioning his connection with the crowd. Just your typical Cody promo.

Tommaso Ciampa vs. The Miz in a no DQ match This match started before the bell rang. The bell rings and a steel chair is introduced by Ciampa. Miz puts a table back under the table. Lots of back and forth. Miz sends Ciampa over the announce table. Miz gets going for a while before the commercial. Ciampa gets a trash can lid and uses it on the before setting up a table in the ring. Miz gets sent through the table, but before he can get the pin, Bronson Reed attacks Ciampa. Reed his his finisher on Ciampa in the ring and leaves, allowing Miz to get the pin and win.

Winner: The Miz

Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green vs Kaydan Carter and Katana Chance

The Women’s Tag Team Champions are in gorilla and get asked a question before Rhea joins saying to be careful. The tag champs head to the ring and join commentary to watch the Karen’s vs Kaydan Carter and Katana Chance. The match was pretty one sided. Any shorter and it would have been a squash. The Karen’s win with a dirty pin.

Winner: Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green

Seth Rollins, KO and Sami Zayn vs Judgement Day

This match was set up from the shenanigans of the earlier Seth vs Dirty Dom match. Rollins chased Dom out of the ring to start the match. Finn tried a sneak attack but Seth saw it coming. All 6 guys had time to shine and they all out on a great match. The main story of the match was Seth getting to get to Dom. Sami and Finn were the last two in the ring, and Sami was about to do the Helluva Kick, but Rhea held onto his foot, allowing Priest to hit the Chokeslam, setting up Finn to hit the Coup de Grace for the win. Finn and Priest hug in the ring, showing they are still on the same page.

Winner: Judgement Day

Final Thought

The were plenty of non wrestling segments that pushed the storylines forward. Most of the matches were good to great. The matches served their purpose. WWE has made it clear which direction they are going for SummerSlam matches, they just have to make them official.
