Oceania Pro Wrestling Crown First Champions
During this past weekends Impact Downunder tour held in Wagga Wagga the very first Oceania Pro Wrestling champions were crowned. The two night tour held in the Riverina region of New South Wales was host to three OPW championship matches, the first being for the OPW Heavyweight title as Adam Brooks and Robbie Eagles continued their storied rivalry in Australian wrestling.
The two last met in the final of the PWA Colosseum tournament in October 2022 with Robbie Eagles prevailing as winner and ‘King Of The Colesseum’. A different result was in play on night two of the Impact Downunder tour as Adam Brooks (PWDU No.9, 2022) came out victorious after a Swanton Bomb to go down in the record books as the first OPW Champion.
Erika “The Dreamtime Voodoo Witch” Reid (20,2022) came away from the Aussie Showcase as the first OPW Women’s Champion after defeating Xena.
The Parea, Eli Theseus and Gabriel Aeros were crowned OPW Tag Team Champions after defeating Queenland based Mitch Ryder (No. 10 PWDU 50, 2022) and Tim Hyden.
Other results from the Aussie Showcase include Jimmy Townsend defeating Ricky South, Matt Hayter (No.1 PWDU 50, 2022) defeating Luke Watts, Kingsley beat Lena Kross, Anth Cava defeated Syd Parker, Mick Moretti beat Jack Bonza and Aysha defeated Frankie B.
