Former WWE Women’s Champion Debuts In Impact Wrestling, First Match Announced
Former WWE Women’s Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion Trinity Fatu, formally known as Naomi, has made her Impact Wrestling debut. Now known just as Trinity, this is her first appearance on a professional wrestling show since her abrupt exit from WWE in May of 2022.
Trinity spoke to the audience, declaring her intention to win the Impact Knockout’s Championship, before being interrupted by current champion, Deonna Purrazzo. Jordynne Grace would then appear to remind Purrazzo that she is the #1 Contender and they are to meet at Impact Under Siege for the belt.
It was announced that Trinity is set to make her in-ring debut for the promotion against one half of the Impact Knockout’s Tag Team Champions, KiLynn King, during Impact’s Spring Slugfest TV tapings, set to air on May 4th.
As previously mentioned, this will be Trinity’s first appearance on a wrestling show since her WWE exit alongside her fellow WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, Sasha Banks. Citing creative differences, both women were removed from WWE’s roster amd the belts were scrapped soon after.
Banks, now going by Mercedes Mone, has since made her debut for Stardom and NJPW, already holding the IWGP Women’s Championship for 64 days.
