CM Punk Possibly Set To Return At AEW Collision Premier
With the end of April upon us, as well as more news and rumours dropping in the past several weeks, we at the very least have a clear idea on when CM Punk is likely to return to All Elite Wrestling.
Speaking on the Mat Men Podcast, Andrew Zarian mentioned that AEW is expected to announce the launch of their third weekly television show, Collision, on May 17th:
“The announcement is most likely happening at the upfronts. So, I believe that’s May 17th. So a month out from the actual show. Which I’ve heard — different sources have said the same thing. I believe that’s happening. I don’t know if Tony [Khan] is announing it upfront or if Turner is announcing it upfront, but they are announcing it at upfronts.”

May 17th, quite conveniently, will be a Wednesday, so it is believed that Tony Khan may have another “huge announcement” set for Dynamite.
Elsewhere, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has noted that the debut of Collision could be June 17th in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, and that is the date where we could see him return:
“As things stand right now, the return of C.M. Punk is scheduled for a 6/17 show at the United Center in Chicago, which being a Saturday night show, is likely the debut of the new weekly show.”
Dave Meltzer, Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
CM Punk has been absent from AEW television since the altercation with The Elite at All Out this past September. Punk’s absence has been noted by AEW talent, some who consider him a vocal teacher, while others have labelled him a “cancer”.
