Eric Bischoff Comments on WWE PLE Changes

During the first brand split in 2002, it was not uncommon to have two PLE’s each month, across both Raw and Smackdown. Recenlty, WWE has announced that they are cancelling the DAY 1 PLE, scheduled for January 2023. By cancelling the event, there will be a two month period between Survivor Series and Royal Rumble. WWE Hall of Famer, Eric Bischoff discussed his opinion on the topic.

‘Absolutley love it, I think it’s a great move’ Bischoff said whilst on ‘Strictly Business With Eric Bischoff’.

“Gimmick matches for the sake of gimmick matches … Here lies a man who hates gimmick matches/pay-per-views because it’s just a cheap way out. I’ve said this for years, like a long time, maybe a decade or two, gimmick matches are nothing more than someone telling the world they don’t know how to write a story.”
